Living in Serendipity

PUBLIC ART

Living in Serendipity is a large-scale public artwork in Belmont Village, Kitchener, created in collaboration with artist Paul Kalbfleisch. It is an exploration of daily moments of discovery, laughter, and play. An abstract map of the winding streets and intersections which make our city.

In Kitchener-Waterloo, north can sometimes be west, and east can sometimes be south. We live in a roadmap of serendipity where streets are not straight lines, and they overlap as often as they intersect. But serendipity has its benefits. It gives us the opportunity to say “yes” to good surprises, unexpected friendships, and random laughter. Living in Serendipity is a beautiful thing.
